Elac Speakers - the life of sound

All models listed below are available for Showroom Listening

Elac's Andante Series

The Adante series model AS-61 is the ideal solution for a two channel music system.

Designed by Andrew Jones, it is advanced design starting with a precision built cabinet with Interport Coupled Cavity bass loading.

This provides the best performance from active and passive bass drivers.

In effect each cabinet is actually multiple enclosures built into one, each component assigned to its own area

An all new concentric midrange/tweeter offers a natural sound wander. Each Adante cabinet has a furniture grade finish in a choice of gloss black, white, or genuine satin walnut veneer.

The face of each cabinet has a bonded aluminum baffle for maximum rigidity, contoured for wave guides to insure optimum audio dispersion.

The AS-61 should not really be called a bookshelf speaker - it is a no compromise monitor designed for serious listening.

Dedicated stands are available - and actually recommended.

Elac's Debut II Series

The Debut Series is 100% designed by Andrew Jones at Elac's Southern California facility.

Every Debut loudspeaker system establishes a value proposition—with build quality and spectacular performance—that goes beyond every other speaker in its class.

Andrew Jones explains how Debut speakers break new ground: “The ELAC Debut series delivers superior performance thanks to custom made key components, with no off-the-shelf parts. Unlike many more expensive speakers that mix parts-bin drivers, bare-bones crossovers and generic cabinets—every ELAC speaker is built from a clean-sheet design.”

The above Elac bookshelf speaker is priced at $229 - per pair. The B5 may offer the best value in affordable speakers.

The B6 speakers, slightly more costly at $279 per pair, offers a bigger/broader sound.

There is also a C5, 2 way Center Speaker priced at $179.

Finally Custom Hi-Fi showcases two Floor standing models the F5 priced at $279 each and the F6 priced at $379 each.

Elac's Unifi Series

All three Uni-Fi loudspeakers—bookshelf (UB5), floorstanding (UF5), and center-channel (UC5)—employ a concentric driver.

Because of its ideal time-domain characteristics, a concentric design—combining a tweeter and midrange diaphragm within a single voice coil—delivers the most coherent and accurate reproduction across the treble and midrange frequency spectrums. {Normally concentric drivers are traditionally used in only the most expensive speakers.}

ELAC’s chief engineer Andrew Jones explains how Uni-Fi speakers build on a new foundation: “My goal with the Uni-Fi series was to create a line of speakers with technology and performance normally reserved for speakers costing significantly more. By going with a 3-way design and employing a new in-house developed concentric driver, I’ve achieved a sound that is more true to the music than similar priced products.”

Custom Home Hi-Fi showcases both the Debut and Uni-Fi series.

This provide highs quality listening at very affordable prices.

Elac's Debut 2 Sub-Woofer

ELAC subwoofers are easy to add to your existing speaker system, thanks to built-in power amplification. This is combined with ELAC’s advanced control app making room integration a breeze.

Because low frequencies reproduced by a subwoofer are omnidirectional, it means that a subwoofer can be located most any place in your listening room. Because of the omnidirectional dispersion pattern of the lowest notes, a single subwoofer is sufficient to reproduce the content of both stereo channels.

Listeners who want even more bass output can opt one subwoofer per channel for the absolute ultimate in low-frequency slam, impact and realism

Auto EQ utilizes the ELAC SUB Control 2.0 app and your smartphone’s microphone. The SUB3010, SUB3030, and SUB3070 subwoofers automatically equalize to your room’s characteristics using a 12-band parametric equalizer. Manual adjustment is available as well.

The Debut subwoofer is engineered with thick MDF outer walls and a textured vinyl finish. The cabinets incorporate specially designed internal bracing to add stiffness and strength to the outer walls. The bracing reduces cabinet vibration, which causes unwanted coloration to the sound.
